Built for Shooters Who Want Answers

Load Lab puts real ballistic data in your hands — no guesswork, no forum arguments, no paywalls.

What is Load Lab?

Every shooter has been there: you're trying to pick between two factory loads and end up wading through 47 forum threads, each with a different “expert” opinion. Load Lab exists so you can skip the noise and look at the numbers.

We pull ballistic specifications directly from manufacturer data — muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficients, bullet weight, energy — and let you compare them side by side with interactive trajectory, velocity, energy, and wind drift charts. Pick your loads, set your conditions, and see exactly how they stack up from the muzzle to your max range. All comparisons are based on published manufacturer specifications. We don't independently verify them, and we say so — because transparency about where the data comes from is the only way to trust what it shows.

The ballistic solver uses standard G1 and G7 drag models to calculate trajectories, accounting for atmospheric conditions, zero distance, and wind. It's the same math the expensive apps use — we just don't charge for it.

Who It's For

Whether you're filling a tag or chasing groups, the data is the same

Hunters

Compare terminal energy and trajectory for your hunting cartridge. Find the load that performs at the distances you actually shoot — and understand what the numbers can and can't tell you before you pull the trigger.

Long-Range & Competition

Evaluate ballistic coefficients, wind drift, and drop across precision cartridges. Generate DOPE cards for match day.

Reloaders

Benchmark your handloads against factory ammunition. Track custom loads with your own BCs and velocities, then compare them head to head.

How We Work With Data

Load Lab's analysis starts with manufacturer-supplied specifications — the same numbers that are publicly available, pulled together in one place and examined honestly. When there's a known gap between what a manufacturer publishes and what shooters are seeing in the field, that gap is part of the story. Our tools let you adjust inputs like muzzle velocity to reflect real-world conditions, so the data works for you, not against you.

Ballistic data tells you what's possible. It can't tell you what's probable for a specific shooter in a specific field condition. A trajectory chart can show you retained energy at 400 yards. It can't account for shot placement, animal angle, wind gusts, or the shooter behind the trigger. Load Lab is built to give you the best possible information — and to be honest about everything that information can't measure.

The decision belongs to the shooter. Always.
